P.F. Candle Co.'s most popular size, meant for basically everywhere. Their candles are simple: they're all made with 100% domestically grown soy wax, fine fragrance oils, and cotton-core wicks. The fragrances they use are paraben-free, phthalate-free, and never (ever) tested on animals.

Each Standard Candle is hand poured in Los Angeles by the P.F. team in their signature amber glass jar with a kraft paper label and brass lid. P.F. designs its scents for people with fragrance sensitivities, so they enhance a room rather than overpower it.

 

SCENTS

Teakwood & Tobacco: Woody, warm, musky. The one that started it all. Some call it the boyfriend scent, P.F. calls it the O.G. Leather, teak, orange.

Piñon: Woody, dry, warm. Winters in the Southwest, lingering bonfires, wool jackets in rotation. Piñon logs, cedar, vanilla.

  • Base: vanilla, cedarwood, cinnamon

Arroyo Oak: Earthy, smoky, woody. A love letter to the quiet wild of the Arroyo Seco. A passageway of twisted terrain perfumed by native sagebrush, crushed oak leaves, shady creek beds, and canyon stone. Vetiver, frankincense, and California oak.

  • Top: wild sage, silver artemisia, bay laurel, black pepper
  • Mid: chopped cedar, vetiver, pine needles
  • Base: palo santo, olibanum, oak wood, white smoke

Los Angeles: Marine, fresh, botanical. Overgrown bougainvillea, canyon hiking, epic sunsets, city lights. Redwood, lime, jasmine, yarrow.

  • Mid: sea salt, coastal sage, yarrow
  • Base: redwood, musk, beachwood

Wild Herb Tonic: Aromatic, herbaceous, earthy. Barefoot walks through wild herb gardens, cool mountain stream baths, crisp morning air. Lemon balm, thyme, orange, fir.

  • Top: lemon balm, orange rind, Canadian fir needle
  • Mid: eucalyptus, clove leaf, crushed thyme
  • Base: lavender, guaiacwood, patchouli

Spiced Pumpkin: Sweet, seasonal, and buttery. Pumpkin pie, lots of butter, movie marathons under piles of blankets. The quintessential autumn gourmand, with notes of toasted nutmeg, pumpkin butter, and brown sugar.

  • Top: cinnamon, toasted nutmeg
  • Mid: butter, brown sugar, clove
  • Base: pumpkin, vanilla, cream

Apple Picking: Fruity, seasonal, and spiced. Cold autumn days, crunching leaves beneath your feet, endless cider refills. A fruit-forward seasonal with spicy undertones and notes of crisp apples, mulled cider, and cedarwood.

  • Top: orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg
  • Mid: apple
  • Base: clove, vanilla

Spruce: Fresh, earthy, and aromatic. Dense forest floor, sunshine and snow, corner tree lots. Cooling and fresh, with aromatic notes of winter citrus, fresh snow, and earthy blue spruce.

  • Mid: blue spruce, snow powder
  • Base: cedarwood, pine

CANDLE CARE

  • Trim the wick to 1/4" before each lighting.
  • Protect the surface under the candle with a coaster.
  • Let the wax melt to the edges of the jar during each burn to prevent tunneling.
  • Keep the wick centered and away from the sides of the jar.
  • Don't burn for more than 4 hours at a time, and stop when only 1/4" of wax remains.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended, near a draft, or within reach of children or pets.
  • Don't move the candle while it's burning or right after it's been blown out.

Once the candle's gone, P.F. hopes you'll reuse the jar. Clean it out and you've got a new planter or pencil holder.
